Lake Dežno is a picturesque lake in the western part of the wine-growing Haloze with a depth of about 3 meters.
The reservoir was built in the 70s of the last century for the needs of tourism, recreation, irrigation of agricultural land and reducing the peak of the flood wave.
The water in the lake is incredibly calm, as if time has slowed down here. The ripples on the surface ripple only slightly, creating delicate waves that play with the sun's rays. This place is like an oasis of peace, where you can forget about the hustle and bustle and enjoy the harmony of nature.

Long before the appearance of mechanical assistants in the form of various devices and presses, people performed the hard work of processing the crop manually. The tradition of crushing grapes with your feet came to us from ancient times along with the very technology of winemaking.
Human legs were the perfect press for processing grapes. They easily crushed the berries, releasing the ripe pulp and all the useful substances from the peel, but at the same time they were unable to crush the bones, tannins and tannins of which gave the wine a bitter taste. The legs were able to feel the slipping individual berries and catch them. They found cool places in the thickness of the grape porridge. Low temperatures have a bad effect on the fermentation process, and these caring legs immediately accelerated the process, giving off their heat

It rises above the sea, creating a majestic appearance of nature. Strunjan Rock, the highest rock of the Adriatic, formed from a sheer flysch rock. It is also the only stretch of unspoiled nature on the 130 km coastline of the Gulf of Trieste between Grado in Italy and Savudrija in Croatia. The steep cliff and pebble shore at its base are completely at the mercy of the sea, wind and rain, which change the crumbling layers of rock, creating new shapes.
